The house at Cardinal church roads attempts to create a space that looks out onto its lush surroundings while maintaining privacy through the placement of its individual masses. The careful placement of openings are intentional and utilize the natural features of the site. The north side remains primarily open towards the garden below, inviting soft diffused light to the primary spaces of the project. The program of the cozy private space and active public space is not only defined by dimension but by the invitation of the sun in varying amounts.
